ESSENCE

Arg-met is a person who needs to perform through expression, either through voice, intellect or writing. Everything in Arg-m is about mental power. The child is expected to have high mental power and to demonstrate it, show it, express it. Constant need to show by using his mental power, and by speech. Strive for perfection in their field.

MENTAL SYMPTOMS

- Loss of mental power … forgetful

- Talkative, or disinclined to talk

- RESERVED in expression and attitude

- Fears: see Arg-nit (of high places, of narrow places, of crowds, anticipation)

- CHILLY, yet worse exposure to SUN

- Worse NOON

- GRAY or white tenacious expectorations

- Affections or deformities of CARTILAGE ( thickening, calcification, arthritis, ribs)

- Emaciation … gradual drying up… decay

- Symptoms appear slowly, but progressing, deeply penetrating

- LEFT side

Neurological: ELECTRIC SHOCKS, esp. on falling to sleep

Head: vertigo, often with sudden onset

Throat: hoarseness and LOSS OF VOICE in professional singers/speakers … vocal cord nodules … profuse and easy morning expectoration … tension in throat, < yawning

Mouth: silver coating on togue

Chest: raw, sore feeling when coughing … great weakness in the chest (left) … stitches in chest impeding breathing … COUGH > LYING DOWN (Mang, Euph), < laughing … sudden attacks of palpitations

Extremities: pain on the front of the left shoulder, radiating and shooting through arm to hand, accompanied by feeling of paralysis, numbness and tingling, < rest or staying in same position for a long time, > motion … rheumatic disorders of joints, especially elbow and knee … tennis elbow … stiff hands ... involuntary contractions of fingers … writer’s cramp … swelling of ankles … weakness and trembling of lower limbs

Female: pain in left ovary … ovarian cysts, tumors ... bearing-down pain … prolapse uterus with pain in left ovary and small of the back, extending in front and downwards … eroded spongy cervix

Male: crushed pain in (right) testicles

1. Pains increase gradually and disappear suddenly.

2. Sore larynx, hoarseness of singers, speakers; or worse talking, singing, reading aloud.

3. Gray, thick, gelatinous, viscid secretions (easily expectorated).

4. Right testicle and left ovary. Affinity with cartilage.

5. Chilly, anxious, nervous, though reserved and closed.

- The organs that he requires for performance and show are the ones chiefly affected.

- Arg-m make good public speakers, clergymen, preachers - persons who lecture using logic and intellect, rather than what they really felt or experienced.

- Arg-m alternates (like Aur alternates between "I am highly moral" and "I am highly immoral and have sinned away the day of grace") between "I am a high performer" and "I am not good enough, I can't perform anymore, I am useless". Either his intellect is highly developed or he can't remember, is confused, has loss of mental power.

Arg-nit: Energy of Arg-m is less radiant than of Arg-nit; it is more independent, reserved, distant, intellectual, and performance oriented. Arg-nit is warmer, more extroverted, and often quite childish. Main complaint of Arg-nit is often panic or/and anxiety.

Aur: Aurum has a high sense of responsibility and duty. He is industrious and can feel very guilty, depressed and even suicidal, if he hasn't performed his duty or fulfilled his responsibility. Similarly Arg-m has polarity between high performance and absolutely finished, he cannot perform because he has no control on his mind, on his voice, on his hand and on his movement, i.e. exact organs of expression, exact expression of show.

Med: with Med it shares the feeling of inner weakness, which he is trying to cover up with egotism. Both have anticipatory anxiety as in stage fright.

Pall: both Pall and Arg-m have showiness and longing for the good opinion of others.

Lach: it shares with Lachesis its emphasis on speech and communication and its egotism. The difference between the two is that Arg-m is concentrated exclusively in the field of intellect whereas Lach is a jack of all trades
